Where to find your broker’s trade history CSV
The MomoEdge journal imports your trades from your broker’s own CSV export. Seven brokers’ files are read with no column step; for the others you match the columns once and the journal keeps your picks.
Start the range before the oldest trade you still hold, so its opening is in the file. Importing an overlapping range again adds nothing twice.
SchwabRead with no column step
- On schwab.com, open the account’s transaction history.
- Choose the date range.
- Export it as a CSV file.
- An expiry or assignment posted after a weekend says the day it took effect (“as of”); that day is booked.
- Export one account at a time: a file that holds two accounts is refused.
- A reinvestment is booked as a buy. A transfer of shares, a split or a merger is listed but not booked as a trade.
- A cash-settled index option (SPX, NDX, RUT, VIX and the like) that is assigned or exercised is not booked: its position stays open, so add its close.
FidelityRead with no column step
- On Fidelity.com, open Activity & Orders for the account.
- Show its history for the dates you want.
- Download it as a CSV file (named like History_for_Account_….csv).
- Download one account at a time: a file that mixes accounts is refused.
- No assignment row has been seen in a Fidelity file yet, so one is shown as a row we could not read.
- A reinvestment is booked as a buy; shares rolled over are booked only when the row gives their price.
- The core money market (SPAXX and the like) is the account’s cash: its reinvestments are skipped, not booked as trades.
RobinhoodRead with no column step
- In Robinhood, open Account, then Reports and statements.
- Select Account activity report, then Generate new report.
- Choose the account, the start date and the end date, then Generate report.
- Most reports take about 2 hours (up to 24). Download the CSV from Reports when it is ready.
- The report has no fee column: each row’s fees come from its Amount.
- Futures, crypto and spending activity are not in the report.
- A cash-settled index option (SPX, NDX, RUT, VIX and the like) that is assigned or exercised is not booked: its position stays open, so add its close. Its cash (code OCC) is listed but not booked.
Interactive BrokersRead with no column step
- In the client portal, open Performance & Reports, then Statements.
- Run the Activity statement.
- Choose the period (Daily, Monthly, Annually, Year to Date or a Custom Date Range) and the CSV format.
- Save the file.
- Only the Trades section is read: stocks and equity and index options in US dollars.
- An option assignment or exercise row has not been seen in a real statement yet, so one is shown as a row we could not read; the stock it delivered is booked.
WebullRead with no column step
- Desktop: open Account, then the Orders widget’s menu (three lines, top right), and choose Export Orders.
- App: tap Account, then History, then Export Orders (the download icon, top right).
- Confirm your email: the CSV arrives from Webull in 5 to 10 minutes.
- The orders file has no fees: they are estimated and labelled.
- It has no expiry or assignment rows: mark an option that expired in the journal.
- Options and stocks can come as separate files: import each one. Orders that filled nothing are skipped.
tastytradeRead with no column step
- Download the account’s transaction history from tastytrade as a CSV (its name starts with tastytrade_transactions_history_).
- Choose the date range before you download.
- A transfer in (ACAT) is listed but not booked: the file gives its shares no price.
- A cash-settled index option (SPX, NDX, RUT, VIX and the like) that is assigned or exercised is not booked: its position stays open, so add its close.
E*TRADERead with no column step
- In Power E*TRADE Pro, open the History tool.
- Use the download arrow at its top right to save a CSV.
- The transaction download from the E*TRADE website is read too.
- An expiry posted on the next business day is booked on the contract’s own expiry day.
- A dividend reinvestment is booked as a buy when the row gives its price; a transfer is listed but not booked as a trade.
- A trade the file cancels (CANCEL) is not booked, and its re-booked copy is booked once.
- A cash-settled index option (SPX, NDX, RUT, VIX and the like) that is assigned or exercised is not booked: its position stays open, so add its close.
TradeStationColumns matched once
- Download the account’s Activity from TradeStation as a CSV, for the dates you want.

FirstradeColumns matched once
- Open Accounts, then Tax Center.
- Under Download Account Information, choose Excel CSV Files.
- Choose the account and the date range (up to the past 3 years), then Download.
- There is no preset for this file yet: the Import page asks once which column is which, and keeps your picks.
moomooColumns matched once
- moomoo’s own help does not describe a trade history CSV that we could confirm.
- If your moomoo app or desktop gives you one, import it here.
- There is no preset for this file yet: the Import page asks once which column is which, and keeps your picks.
How the import reads the file
Every row of the file is kept as it was uploaded. A row that only moves cash, such as a dividend or a deposit, is skipped. A row that cannot be read becomes no trade: it is listed with the reason. The result says which broker’s export it read, how many fills, the dates the file covered, and the broker account, shown by its last four characters only.
If the file was not read the way you expected, you can map the columns yourself instead: the import keeps your picks for that account.
